1st CDN Army 44-45 Equipment losses and wastage

Hello,

(Re-post from WW2 in Atlantic and Western Europe-this sub-forum may be a better fit for my topic)

For 1944-45 equipment wastage, be it a Bren gun carrier or 25 Pounder Artillery Piece, at the 2 Cdn Corps HQ or 1st Canadian Army HQ level, how was this recorded?

Is there anyone online who has done this sort of research before on, say, 21 Army Group equipment being written off, and tracked it by unit? (Bigger things, such as A/T guns, tank destroyers and tanks)

I have detected Ottawa Library and Archives Canada files and reports titled: "Equipment wastage" and "Equipment State" and "wastage rates"--these may all be very good files. But I don't know if in these files cover how it was replaced and what was written off. (Trip is in Mid April)

The 1st Canadian Army HQ A and Q dairies are online at the Heritage Canada, but I have yet to push through all the thousands of images.

Thanks,

Arthur G.
