Does anyone have a T.O&E for 1RTR for Feb, Mar or Apr 1941?

I believe they were equipped with Matildas.

Thanks. :D

Several references are made to 1RTR within Frank Harrion's "Tobruk-The Great Siege Reassessed" published by Brockhampton Press. ISBN 1860199860

I haven't had time to read all of them yet but 1RTR did have Matilda's in the April '41, and it seems it had given some up to 7RTR!

Regards

This is from Desert Tracks: British Armor Camouflage and Markings in North Africa by William E. Platz. According to this source, the 1st. RTR was equipped with A9s and Mk. VI Light Tanks—roughly half and half—at the time of Operation Compass. That takes you through February. He says further that, "1st. RTR arrived in Tobruk on 7 April 41, with 5 A9s and A13s, 6 other Cruisers, and 15 Mk. VI Lights. Its losses were replaced with vehicles from the Tobruk workshops, mostly A13s." His OOB info is pretty good not to be an official source, so I am inclined to go with him lacking anything better.
