Did any of the three infantry Battalions that comprised the 14th Infantry Brigade, see action in N.Africa, after having been withdrawn early in February 1942?

Thanks. :)

Any ideas anyone?

If it helps, the three Battalions in question were:

2nd Battalion Black Watch.
1st Battalion Beds & Herts.
2nd Battalion Yorks & Lancs.

According to Regiments.org the 14th Brigade, and its parent 70th division, was transferred to India in March of '42. A check of the three battalions you mentioned showed they all went with it rather than transfer to another formation, so it appears they served out the rest of the war in the CBI theater.

As a side bar, the 70th Div, of which 14th Bde was a component (apprently, taking KFs word for it ;) ), was broken up to become the Chindits, which is a shame and a waste of a fine division.

Excellent.

Found all the info I was looking for in the linked website. I should have gone there first perhaps.
