Hi Varadaro,

Thanks. Good photos.

The Renault-Kegresse M.28 is one of those rare tanks that seems to have escaped four-view line drawings, or at least I never found any when searching a decade ago.

Does anyone know of any line drawings of the Renault-Kegresse M.28?

Many thanks,

Sid.

Site Serbski okolop has some documents posted from the time indicating an attempt to purchase military equipment from the United States which includes 78 tanks ,I'm guessing M2 a4, 60 recon vehicles,I'm guessing White Scout cars M3a1 and 25 lorries for tank transportation. Same entry shows 120 c17 155mm howitzers,120 95mm artillery guns,400 37mm anti tank guns plus Ammo,,they were buying Ap shells for the modern At Guns and 120,000 Anti Tank rounds for the 37mm M16 infantry support gun.

Hi Sid,
The drawing is from The Russian magazine Frontline Illustrations 1-2004 (ISBN 5-901266-01-3) but the same illstration was usedin Tank Power volume IX nr 223 Renault FT (ISBN 83-7219-223-5). As a bonus :-) here some more pictures of the Yugoslav M28 (including three of pre-war time). All from ebay. Cheers.

Thank you for the pictures, Varadero!

Wonder what happened to these, dumped away or possibly used in future operations? Our tanks looked too old for them to be attractive to the Germans, so just like our weaponry, probably used in propaganda reports to ridicule our old equipment.

Hi flyingstukas,

I think the Germans may have used the few Skoda T32 self-propelled guns they captured, as they had control of the Skoda factories. Photos of some apparently undamaged T32s with German troops are on this thread, though it is not clear from them that they were being used by the Germans at the time. They may just have been abandoned. I would have thought 7th SS Mountain Division would have been a good candidate, if they were used by the Germans, because it was initially equipped with mostly ex-Czech weaponry.

Cheers,

Sid.
