Hi, I have just found an old document on my hard drive, it features a Danish Infantry Company around 1940, please see below;
3 x Rifle Sections each:
1 x Corporal (8mm M.1989/24 rifle)
1 x Grenadier (Grenades + 8mm M.1989/24 rifle)
1 x LMG team
1 x Gunner (9mm M.1910 pistol)
1 x Loader (8mm M.1989/24 rifle)
1 x 8mm Madsen M.1924 LMG mounted on a Tri-pod
5 x men (8mm M.1989/24 Rifles)
1 x LMG Section:
1 x Corporal (8mm M.1989/24 rifle)
1 x Grenadier (Grenades + 8mm M.1989/24 rifle)
1 x LMG team
1 x Gunner (9mm M.1910 pistol)
1 x Loader (8mm M.1989/24 rifle)
1 x 8mm Madsen M.1924 LMG mounted on a tri-pod
5 x men (8mm M.1989/24 Rifles)
If you look closely the Rifle section has the same makeup as the LMG Section, maybe it’s wrong, maybe the mounts may have been different, Bi-Pod Infantry Section, Tri-pod LMG Section, it says that they used the same LMG, Madsen M.1924, so maybe it is the mounts that make the difference.
Thanks for any input.
Yan.
