I have seen this quote, said to have been made by made by Erwin Rommel in several places. It is said to refer to the Chasseur Ardennais and the action at Chabrehez which delayed the advance of the 7. Panzer-Division.
It means something like
They are not men but green wolves
a reference to the fighting skills and the green beret of the Chasseur Ardennais

Can anyone point me to the source of this quote?
