Cavalry regiments of the Portuguese Army in World War II

AFAIK the Portuguese Army had eight cavalry regiments at the end of World War II, but I have seen either eight or nine cavalry regiments given for 1939. Which number is correct, eight or nine? And if nine is the correct number of cavalry regiments in 1939, anybody knows the date in which the 9th Cavalry Regiment dissapeared?
Regards.
