As has been pointed out before, to be consistent the Greeks should also demand reparations from Italy and Bulgaria, which also occupied parts of Greece and committed their share of atrocities. But those countries are probably not seen as a "soft touch" like Germany - where some politicians of the ex-communist left (Die Linke) actually believe the Greek claims have some merit. But perhaps they're just saying that to cause trouble for the government.
