Greetings,

I am searching for some biographical information in regards to the Soviet Baltic Fleet commander Admiral Vladimir F. Tributs. Specifically, military academies attended, military posts held, career history and decorations awarded. I have surfed the net extensively and have found very little about Tributs. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Mike

Interesting there is nothing about him on Wikipedia. Dying in Moscow says a lot to me if you're a Naval Commander. He single handedly saved the Baltic Fleet in defiance of Stalin's orders to have it scuttled apparently...and it did play a big part in keeping the German Army from taking Leningrad...ever.

He's one of the few if not the only Russian Commander who never had to be "rehabilitated" it would appear.
