When Ultra started to take its toll in Med?

According to the German edition of Alberto Santoni´s book "Il vero traditore" (German: ULTRA siegt imMittelmeer) the first ULTRA impact in the Med was the battle of Cape Matapan in March, 1941, the warning of Iachino´s operation reaching Adm Cunningham, CinC Med, at least 3 days previously.

I believe this was BP breaking into Luftwaffe traffic though, not Italian navy?
