Books on OSS

#1

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I am looking for good books on any and all OSS Operations during WW2, particularly in Italy and Greece. The 2 most popular ones by by Smith and O'Donnell are way too general in scope to be of much use to me. Thanks in Advance.

For Greece this one may be of interest:
Classical Spies: American Archaeologists with the OSS in World War II Greece by Susan Hueck Allan

Max Corvo's book on Italy is another possibility:

OSS operations in Albania are covered here
The OSS in World War II Albania: Covert Operations and Collaboration with Communist Partisans by Peter Lucas

Finally there's a new book on the OSS in Burma:
The OSS in Burma: Jungle War against the Japanese (Modern War Studies) by Troy J. Sacquety

Outstanding, Thanks so much Orwell! As I said, the other books I mentioned were well written, but just too general for what I am needing for my paper.

Good afternoon Black Edelweiss,

I can't suggest any specific book but do believe you'll get much info for your research by surfing around the website of the OSS Society.

It's at http://www.osssociety.org

They've got a book section and much more.

Hopefully the website assists you in your research.

Warm regards,

Bob
