RLB Helmet
Okay so if this post is in the wrong place, I'm sorry. I'm new into collecting and my buddy gave this to me. Honestly I would like a heer/Luftwaffe helmet instead. It's a RLB helmet and couldn't find much info. Since I'm new can anyone tell me anything about it. Also what would someone willing to give me for it?

Re: RLB Helmet
Certainly need much better pictures of the RLB decal (and entire helmet), very unusual style helmet for RLB issue, but not impossible. Need larger scale and much better pictures if you want any hope of selling it... especially of the decal.

NYET!!!!!
Re: RLB Helmet
The helmet itself is a "lightweigh" Alum. (or) parade helmet... I've never seen one used as a "duty helmet" by any organization, normally meant only for parades. The RLB decal on the front appears to be a reproduction and the paint, while old, is suspect... the liner and strap are not typical for pre-45 (but can't speak about parade helmet liners) and it's not in great condition... so basically it's a "filler".
Value would be "in the eye of the beholder".... but with a bum decal, I'd say no more than $150./200. US. (and then, few would want it...)
Nearly every serious collector would rather have a "Combat helmet" over a civil helmet... that's why a nice combat helmet is valued as high as they are.
This helmet in it's intended "Parade Helmet" version with Army/LW decals (all original) would indeed be a rare, highly valueable helmet. Unfortunately, not this one.

Re: RLB Helmet
I have owned several of these RLB lids in the past, as John stated, none were these light weight lids. and the decals on a genuine one is no comparision to these repros

Re: RLB Helmet
Thank you for the information. That's the one thing I noticed right away on how light it was. It's not my intent to con anyone. I'm glad I got this from a friend who didn't charge me for it.
