The publisher of Biblio-Verlag, Mr. Zeller, writes to me:
"The Biblio-Verlag in Bissendorf, Germany, provides for 01.01.2015 grounds of age his line of business "new releases" to stop production .
For this reason, there is a unique, complete and never more buildable in this form collection about "All the Knight's-Cross-Owner (Ritterkreuzträger) of the German Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS, including the Eichenlaubträger and the Air Force" for sale.
The collection has been created in decades of work and comes from the large archives as well as private property .
Every person with portraits, contemporary Photos and if available in the archives , also with personnel records, military careers, review, reasons for the award, Award certificates, military correspondence etc. treated.
Overall, there were approximately 6,800 Ritterkreuzträger. All documents are stored in folders.
The Collection is high quality and unique. In a pattern showing interest folder can be sent.

So Biblio Verlag is finally done! Too bad,,,I have all their Knight's Cross books. Hopefully someone will finish the series.

That's a shame. When I was a book dealer I sold many of their volumes. They were always of the highest quality and the info was generous on each recipient.

Was anyone else ever able to purchase it, or have any idea what the status is of these archives?

I'd think that they must be quite a "goldmine" of primary material.

I would have been interested in acquiring it, except for the cost!

In one of my last contacts with him, the final owner of Biblio-Verlag had asked for my assistance in trying to find a buyer in the USA for the archive, but at E. 90-100,000.-- , it was next to impossible to find anyone interested.
