These are not of my grandfather but were in his collection, given to him by a US Solider he befriended during the occupation. I believe these were taken in Fuschl Austria in the summer of 1945 as I have a number of other photos and postcards that I believe belonged to the same US Soldier, see Ebay if interested. This one here for sale is definitely original, curly edged photo, of the time. German tank and other photos will be posted soon.

{Edit} Changed title to M24 Light Tanks {End Edit}

Looks like US M24 light tanks.

They started to be issued to US troops in Europe in very late 1944

PS: This sold on Ebay and was bid up to 17.49 plus shipping when I had it here for $3. Other pictures of mine are selling for as little as $3 or as much as $40. SOme just don't get bids.

Is there any kind of guide to WWII photographs? I can tell that atrocities, planes, tanks and vehicles sell, and in that order, but how do I set prices?

IMHO value is completely subjective... and crazy IMO, for MOST photos.... but more power to you if that's what they're paying. most of the atrocity photos were widely printed and distributed from my experience, only a handful are truly "private" atrocity photos and would be scarce/rare. The rest you've pretty much figured out. (also POWs, GIs with German equip., unusual insignia/awards/etc.) Common sense, really.

I'd price them low and let the market decide.... meaning eBay, of course. There is no price guide for "snapshot photos" that I've heard of except ebay sales. About1/2 of those on eBay are also modern reprints, not original (speaking mostly of German/Japanese related photos) ....
Just my opinion of course! Good luck.
