Hi Luftflotte,Luftflotte2 wrote:Hey Max. What do you mean Glazien?
Sorry for the spelling error. I meant to say Galizien, the Galician area of occupied Poland under the Generalgouvernment. Here is the list of OST plate designations I have from http://www.autogallery.org.ru/m/nomde.htm:
Ost- (1939-1943) Generalgouvernement
IOst - (1943-1945) Krakau
IIOst - (1943-1945) Lublin
IIIOst - (1943-1945) Radom
IVOst - (1943-1945) Warschau
VOst - (1943-1945) Galizien
Cheers,
Max

I believe this is a Berliet GDRA with wood-gas modification. Compare it to a standard GDRA (same seller) and you can see differences in the front bumper mounting.

Kerry.

Re: ► Photothread: Wood gas generators
Hi Sturm 78,
that´s very difficult to say. There are some modifications because of the gas generator system. After checking some of the American trucks I think it could be a Studebaker model 1936.
Best regards
Bert

Re: ► Photothread: Wood gas generators
I think you're wrong. Compare the look of windscreens and bodywork on these machines.

Re: ► Photothread: Wood gas generators
Hi Victor,
thanks for Your reply. You are right, the normal look of of the windscreens and the normal US-made bodywork doesn´t fit. But I think that this must be a truck exported to Belgium or the Netherlands, where it became a special cab by a local coachbuilder. For comparing here a pic with nearly the same cab of a Chevrolet type 1936.
Best regards
Bert

Hi Victor!
My compliment, good work! That can be the solution, not my Studebaker.
Best regards
Bert
