Ford umbau in use by the Serbian Voluntary Corps, some of these were donated or loaned to SVC by the Germans.

Hi Ilian:

Thanks for the great photo!!! I have never seen this one before.

This was obviously a professional remake of this Ford, not a field conversion.

Do you have any further details/ideas??

Bill

Hi Bill,
Regretfully no more details for now. The pic was retrieved from a book titled "Battle Vehicles on the Yugoslavian front" (loosely translated from Serbian). I'll take a closer look when I'll have time, probably some details are mentioned in the text, I hope.
Cheers!

Yet another umbau from Serbia surfaced, pic dated Summer 1941.

Hello all,
I think this fits into the umbau category. The photo here is the first time I have seen this particular modification, although it may be more common than I think. It is a 1938 Ford of Germany V8-G81A Special, but modified to serve as a "kubel". It belonged to a Kriegsmarine unit, but, sadly, I do not know where or when.
Kerry.

Hi Sean,
The pictures in this forum are too much to remember every one of them. However, let's say my contribution was that now the place and date are fixed at least for the Olds umbau pic.
Cheers!

Hi Ilian, sorry, I don't want to give the impression I was criticising you for re-posting, far from it - by coincidence I'd looked at the first page shortly before you posted it, and thought it was interesting that it had re-appeared; and that you might be interested to see the uncropped version. The more photos the better!

Don't worry Sean, no offense at all. This wasn't moaning but just an observation.
You can imagine how entertaining is to browse my PC: same pictures several times with different file names!
Cheers!

I've had that multiple times over. Earlier this year I used a free program called AllDup to clear it all out; though if the duplicates aren't causing you problems, storage is so cheap that it's probably more cost effective to buy another disk than spend the time doing it.

I have to be careful about getting too involved with these photo threads - they're often very interesting, but I have to stay disciplined so they don't suck too much time away!

Probably I'm not right but I have a feeling the last one, WH-1155513, is 3-axle CD/SW.
