Hi,

here a good pic of a 15 cm sIG 33 auf Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf B (Sf)(I hope it is) from the rear . But what a simple construction to put the gun only on the chassis of a light tank and then around it some sheets of metal (source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).

15 cm sIG 33 auf Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf B (Sf).

This vehicle was an adaptation of "war" given the need arose in Poland to increase mobility and maintain the support of a heavy weapon (sIG 33 150 mm) for the motorized rifle units in the armored divisions, and was logical to take the chassis of tanks that could no longer fulfill its role on the battlefield ..... To use a better chassis (Pz Kw III or IV) was impossible at that time, because they were just arriving to the panzer divisions, which had increased their number by reinforcing the four light armored divisions.
