It's only partially complete, but I'm suitably impressed! Jealous as hell, but impressed!

Yes, by all means, please keep us supplied with photos of your progress!

Wow! what a project!

There's a real lack of model kits when it comes to the KM from Zerstörer downwards.

Hi Xavier,

90% of the build is scratch , you will see which items are from manufacturers , i.e. the 20mm flak is from Tamiya. The 10.5cm guns will be scratch build to , I shall take the Hecker/Görös 10,5 cm gun (1/32) as a model to build my own. The boat is about 3 meters long , or almost 10 feet , max width is 28 cm or +11inch , the hull is completly vacuum-formed ( in 4 seperate parts) the weight of the hull until now is about 4 kg or 8.8 lbs. This model is not RC but will be a static model into a large diorama with an other boat , probably a minesweeper type 35 ( also scratch build). Both these ships will be in some harbour diorama , with cranes , trains , wagons , mines , figures....etc.

Stay tuned,

regards,

Himmelhund

The camouflage on the starboard side was not identical to the port side. (lucky me)
At this moment I am building the upper works , aft superstructure is almost finished.(not painted yet , photos will come in the near future)

Did that ship have a steel deck or a teak deck?
