American infantryman

Postby trickcyclist on 07 Jan 2007 07:11

I used to model years ago. Most of my figures were converted from commercial products.

Here's an American infantryman in 200mm.

Bautiful stuff! Absolutely fine paintjob! :) What do you mean by "industrial products"?

BTW The eyes of the first Soldier are a bit too large... looks a bit cartoonish. But that doesn't diminish the greatness of your work.

Portuguese sentry

Postby trickcyclist on 07 Jan 2007 20:44

Thanks for the compliments.

I meant to write "commercial products" instead of "industrial products." I have a terrible cold right now, so it's hard to think straight. Most of the figures are Dragon, Tamiya, Zveda, etc. I made masters for the weapons and helmets and cast them in resin. All painting was done in Polly S and Grumbacher acrylics.

The 200mm bust of the American soldier was a nightmare. His eyes are too big and his ears are too high on his head. I put a lot work into resculpting the face, but I forgot to take care of the eyes.

Here's a Portuguese sentry with signal rockets, in 54mm.
