Leningrad Campaign

#1

Post by Stugbit » 22 Aug 2014, 21:58

Guys, I want to show you my collection of models (tanks, aircraft and ships), Since I'm used to play wargames and like, as well have the idea of having a small army over my shelves, I usually like to display them in what I call "campaigns", which are some historical and proportional representation of a speculative battle.
So, my "forces" are organized in detachments that, by number, could be more close to a idea of platoon or something.
In the ground forces field, my preferred scale is the 1/76, I feel better with it, and the Airfix models, which I have much affection, are all in this scale. it's a bit hard to find kits in the 1/76 scale, it's somehow dead by now, there's very few things being created, particularly of the beginning of the World War Two, which I'm more interested. I try the best I can to fill the collection with all 1/76, but some pieces it's just impossible to find, so I complete with 1/72. The models are from Airfix, Nitto/Fujimi, Matchbox/Revell and resin as well.
The scenario I'm building it's about the siege of Leningrad, and more specifically, when the Germans arrived there, by autumn 41. It will be a German detachment trying to break through the defensive system next to some bunker, pillbox or something like that, or, in another thought, an advancing to the east, on the area of Novgorod.
The forces intended to be placed:

by the Germans:

A medium tank section w/ two Pz IV F1, three Pz III H and one Panzer Jager I to cover them.

A light tank section w/ one 38T, three Pz II F and a Field-built Pz I with a 37mm gun instead of the tower to cover them.

A support section w/ two Stug III D.

A recon section w/ two Sdkfz 222, three Kubelwagen and three BMW motorcycle w/sidecar.

A anti-tank gun section w/ two 88mm guns, two PAK 38 and four PAK 36 guns.

An artillery section w/ two 105mm guns, a LeFH 18 and a LeFH 16.

All those guns towed by Kraus-Maffei, Opel-Blitz and Hanomags.
And, of course, at least 170 soldiers.

By the side of the Russians:

A support section with two Kv-1, one Kv-2, one T-60 and four T-26 tanks;

A medium tank section with four T-34 1940 tanks and seven BT-5/7 tanks;

A recon section with three BA-6/10;

A AT section with five 45mm guns;

A artillery section with four F-22, 76mm guns;

At least 330 soldiers.

A diversity of trucks towing the guns and at least two little bunkers .

Many things still not done, so with you have any advices I'll be pleased.

Salut! :milwink:
