Focke Wulf "Flitzer"

Once again I turn to You in my search for information.

I am starting on Revell's model of the Focke Wulf "Flitzer" VII in scale 1/72, and so far have found out that it only existed as a (wooden ?) mock-up - no actual plane was built. Now the question is: What colour might this mock up have had ? Unpainted wood ? (maybe pine or spruce ?) or might it have been painted in any way ? Any information is gratefully accepted. I know, that this is asking a lot, but I'd rather finish it as the mock-up than in the spurious offering of Luftwaffe in 1946.
