How you destroyed models
I've just thought about a funny thread, tell how you destroyed your models, lol this one should be funny.
I once built Heller F-15 Eagle fighter,I got all messed up with the glue,I didn't followed the instructions( "Do not apply glue straight from the tube itself, use a head of a pin or a toothstick to apply it,to avoid smudges etc."),I pored a bucket of glue on the parts to stick them all together and I painted them all before I glued,so it came out really ugly with all those smudges, plus I didn't used the special model glue they provided me with the kit,but a fast drying glue...then I gave up because assembly and painting was finished by then,I left it for dry out in my room desk, but then my cat came out, jumped on it,the wings went kaput, the landing gear got stuck to her palms, and some glue is still stuck between her fur
One of my friends (who had a well paid job whilst I was still at high school), and myself were avid modellers.
We would build anything, but ww2 1/35th scale was our favourite.
We often made display models for a local model/toy shop which gave us a big discount on new items
When our small bedroms began to over flow with models, we would have to cull them.
What you need:
1 large garden
selection of models you no longer care for.
1 air-rifle/bb gun
Looking back he was a bit of a nutter at times and to my horror would buy, build/paint a model, just to shoot it to pieces.
We spent weeks on a large viking longship once, and it was beautiful.
it was shot up.
Fixing springs under a pilots seat then shooting the canopy made the pilot eject hehe
happy days.

Maybe a bit offtopic, but my brother tried to paint one of his models and then the paint exploded! I don't know what he was doing with it:) And now he has a nice red stain on white wall And I tease him all the time about it.
Oh, and I destroy my models by building them too:) My sympathies Christian

:lol:ah, the most efficient method of all! And one I can attest to, also...Christian Ankerstjerne wrote:I often destroy models by attempting to build them

When I was younger and just as dumb, my friend Thomas and I would destroy our lovingly built kits with pellet guns, white spirits & matches and firecrackers... at one time, a conveniently caught bluebottle (very sick, I know!) decided to become a kamikaze pilot in my newly built Vickers Wellington which was stuffed out with firecrackers. I lit the fuse and threw it from Thomas' parents' garage roof while he did the flak with a pellet gun. Ah, those days of youthful insanity...
