Excellent, I have that book waiting to be read. Many of the reviews I read elsewhere were less enthuastic than this one and am glad to see it gets high marks from this reviewer.

I am not an expert on the siege of Budapest, so I can not comment on the factual correctness of the book. It appears to be well researched to me though, and for anyone wanting to get a good overview, I can only recommend it, with the caveat above.

All the best

Does the book also talk about the Operations Konrad I/II/III which tried to break-through to Budapest?

Yes, but not in great detail, compared to the parts about what went on inside the encirclement.

All the best

Hallo everybody!
One can read or download this book (PDF) in German language (perhaps in English too???) on the webside of the "BUDAPESTER ZEITUNG" under "Schlacht um Ungarn".
