Hi,
Has anyone read "The Caucasus and the Oil" by Tieke?How does it compare to Tragedy and the Faithfull and In the Firestorm of the Last Years of the War?These two are very well and is Caucasus and the Oil on the same scale?
BTW: In regards to JJFED, how is "Of Good Conscience:History of the 4.SS-Polizei-Division?

Most of the books Fedorowicz publishes are translations of Munin Verlag titles that came out in German years ago. All are good with vet source and individual input but documentation in many early ones is lacking. The Polizei Division history, originally 2 text and a photo volume, is very detailed. Volume II of "Das Reich" is coming, the original German version was issed between the late 1960s and 1982. The Ullrich "Totenkopf" book is not nearly as detailed as the text series "Soldaten, Kampfer, Kameraden" that will never appear in English. No mention has been made of translating the VI Korps (Latvian units) book.

The Caucasus & the Oil by Tieke is well worth the money and in the same vain as "Tragedy". The depth of his research especially about the Battles in the Caucasus is excellent and sheds new light on an area that is largely past over in a few sentences or chapters eleswhere.
