Well, here we go again! I tried to ask abebooks.com a question or have it directed to the bookseller in Germany. You must register with them to do anything. I copied the ISBN number from the biblio site but did not see the number on the ABE site. (The other volumes were listed) Does anyone have an ABEbooks account to verify with the seller that the book is available? I am not overly joyed about a credit card transaction with questionable results.

A few days ago I found Band 8 of Generale des Heeres on ABE books and ordered my copy :-)

However today my order was cancelled - apparently the volume is not yet available. So Biblio are now advertising books that are not available....I've been waiting years for volume 8 !! So close....they are a terrible company. I'm not going to email them and ask when it will be available because they never answer emails and I have alreayd sent about 20 in the past few years.

Never mind I will keep trying

I tried to order Volume 8 a while ago on amazon.de, where it was also advertised, and it was also cancelled, so it is obviously not available and I don't know whether it will ever be without the late Dermot Bradley. I don't also know why it is been advertised at all, surely one of the strangest business practices I ever saw.

But their publishing is still going on: after the latest Schulz / Zinke, there is now another volume of the Ritterkreuzträger series, covering the first half of the Pioniertruppe (A-K).
There are times in history when staying neutral means taking sides.

The problem is that planned publications often gets a temporary ISBN, which is picked up by the different bookstores, which then shows them as available or forthcoming. It happens automatically and is very annoying. Sometimes the book never gets published at all or is very delayed by several years. Sadly it also happens without the temporary ISBN.
