NEW Max Williams Book on Himmler !!

WOW -- MAX never told us !! I just found this on Amazon.uk and amazon.com. They are taking pre-orders for it now. 700 pages !!!!!!! If its anything like his other books this is going to be a real treat for all of us !!! Congratulations Max !!

Does anyone know when this book will be published - I pre-ordered it back in May and Amazon say its available from 1st August but still not received it??

My pre-order says it is not available until August 19th. But I doubt very much that it will arrive then. Both this book and the new Goring book by Blaine Taylor, are both published by Fonthill Media. Neither of these books are even shown as "upcoming" on their website. And Amazon has a track record with this publisher, that when they are finally printed, Amazon shows it conveniently "OUT OF STOCK" as they did with Fonthill's recently published book on "Guarding the Fuhrer". So as with many of their books in the past, we may not see this actually printed and shipped for months. That has been my experience.

Yep I also saw that the book isn't on Fronthills website. I hope its better than Guarding the Fuhrer which I purchased via Amazon, which was advertised as a hard cover book and turned up soft back. Didn't like it most of the photos were fuzzy and out of focus.

I do hope the Himmler book is worth waiting for

Does anyone know when this publication is actually due out? I'm looking forward to reading it.......I read the blurb on Amazon and I hope its not just a version of "Himmler's Diary 1945" by Witte and Tyas with lots of photos. Hopefully not.....

Just as Mark Costa predicted, over at amazon.com, as in the case of Blaine Taylor's Goering book, this book upon publication date (8/19) is declared to be "out of stock".

NO...not received my copy yet. Amazon.com says 19 October?? In fact I couldn't place an order with the publishers, the website wouldn't let me. I've emailed them three times now and had no answer......what a terrible company.

There are so many books out on Himmler I probably won't bother.

Until it appears on abebooks.com I'd ignore the publishing date. UK usually sells these types of books first and these are the first copies posted on abe. That's been my experience anyway.

Please don't put too much (or to be precise, any) faith in those anticipated release dates, be they for Max's book or my own two books. They're just not accurate or reliable.

Just spotted that, not much luck with these books also doesn't look like we will be seeing Max's Leadership Corps vol 2 anytime soon either.
