I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the work of George H. Stein: "Waffen SS: Hitler's Elite Guard At War" first published in 1966.
Although not a specific divisional study, this book is really one of the best books on the Waffen SS in it's totality.
I just thought I'd mention it since it's a book which is still sold and is very inexpensive used. There is even a photographic version which is quite well done.

Another good photo book is the one by Herbert Walther. Walther served in the Waffen SS and also wrote a very large pictorial study on Hitler titled "Der Fuehrer: The Life and Times of Adolf Hitler".

I have just purchased 'Panzerdivision Hitlerjugend - Panzer Regiment 12 Normadie 1944' by Stephan Casenave . Its in French and will take me some while to translate but so far it has avoided overt promotion or demonization which is right up my alley. It follows the regiment from its formation through the Normandy campaign on a daily basis with contributions by vets and comprehensive data and photographs covering over 400 A4 Size pages. Here are two examples which I hope the author will permit me to post.
