https://www.amazon.com/Panzer-Regiment- ... regiment+8

This book is out of print and not popular but is the best Panzer regiment history I've ever come across. It's a must have for studying North Africa. The history of the 10th Panzer division (related to PR-8) is 550 pages of text and among the best divisional histories. But sadly neglected as well.

I'm going to be controversial here, because I did not rate this book, or is partner on PR5 (Panzers in the sand). I have bought them both, and since sold them on.

This book is far better than Panzers in the sand (which has a lot of photos but few text).

I wish there was a very detailed operational and tactical history of North Africa, and Italy as well, in the vein of a David Glantz, or Rolf Hinze, or Tieke. Unfortunately there isn't any that I know of, so I try to read as much of the tactical unit histories that I can find, PR 8 being among the best. Panzers in the Sand is alright but like Cult Icon said, it doesn't have as much detailed text. I still have to read the 10 Pz history as well.
