Volume I "Die SS-Totenkopfverbände 1933 - 1939" available
Dear all,
I am glad and proud to be able to announce that volume I of my study “Die SS-Totenkopfverbände 1933 – 1939” is now ready for shipment.
Volume I describes in detail the history of the SS-Totenkopfverbände during the years 1933 – 1937.
The enclosed attachment shows a detailed description of its contents.
Please note that my study does not "compete" with Mark Yerger's "Totenkopfdivision" book, as mine is written in german and only dealing with the years 1933 - 1939.
The present book has a format of 17 x 24 cm, is printed on high quality silkpaper and contains 297 pages and 150 photos at a sellingprice of 40 euros excl. shippingcosts.
In the meantime all pre-ordering customers have been informed.
Prospective buyers are kindly requested to show their interest by sending me a PM.
Looking forward and best wishes,
Marten van Dijken

Re: Books published by members
I have received it this morning. A true reference work with loads of informations. A must have.
Re: Books published by members
Do you talk about Stubaf Karl-Heinz Cantow?
Re: Books published by members
No, Tippette.
My study details the history of the SS-Totenkopfverbände 1933 - 1939.
Cantow served with the SS=Verfügungstruppe.
Best wishes,
Marten

Good day all! I've been quiet here for a while, but keeping quite busy.
A companion book to the release I mentioned here a while ago,
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 0#p1952930
is out now.
X-Day: Gaming Olympic is a presentation of the technical work that went into creating the novel X-Day: Japan. The first months of the invasion of Japan were gamed out in some detail, just to build a convincing world for a fictional reporter. Since all that work was already done, it sounded like a small job to format it for published presentation (it was not a small job by any stretch!).
The new book will go on sale at a special introductory price in a couple weeks, look for it to get cheaper.
If you just can't wait, or want to share the links, the book is up at Amazon U.S. now (international sites will fill in shortly),
http://www.amazon.com/dp/0996310134/
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B016G2NALG/
As a high-level war game there is much to argue with in the details and the results. Only slight changes were made from the battle presented in X-Day: Japan. Once again I had our 'Mil Tec Bard" in my ear pointing out how the latest U.S. equipment could be used. Some of that is commented on directly.
A couple sample pages and a GIFanim of the whole battle are at,

Re: Books published by members
Greetings comrades,
Some shameless self-promotion regarding my upcoming book - Enduring the Whirlwind: The German Army and the Russo-German War 1941-1943.
http://www.amazon.com/Enduring-Whirlwin ... 556&sr=1-1
Starting my narrative in the prewar period, essentially I take on the belief that the Germans were incapable of replacing their battlefield manpower and equipment losses during the first two years of the conflict with the Soviet Union. Contains dozens of tables and everything is meticulously footnoted. This project involved years of accumulating and crunching numbers - for those familiar with the German Army during the Second World War, I think you'll find lots of interesting material that hopefully will spark new discussions of many old issues.
Cheers,
Greg Liedtke
