Hello All,

I'm Josh Smith. Some of you may know me; I run a business that is somewhat popular with folks with certain world war rifles. I'll not advertise that here.

I stumbled on this board by accident while looking for new parts sources. I'd not heard of it before and thought it looked interesting, so I joined up.

Regards,

Josh

I live in Chicago, IL (or ILL as in sick) USA, am 50 years old have an interest in WWII , especially the German side. Have a big interest in the Afrikakorps, I just started going into reenactments ( are they great!). My girlfriend is of Austrian desent and enjoys my hobby. I work with ac/dc electricity and also like ACDC music, High Voltage is my work's theme song. I started getting interested in the war because my parents experienced it when they lived in Poland. Now that I'm older, i went back to my earlier years and got to reading about the war. I have to warn you, I combine my hobby of the war with drinking (LIke My Good American Bourbon). Their is a ton of info on this site , more that I have time to read.

I'm a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and I have been interested in WWII history ever since I was a young lad. Growing up most of the fathers in the neighborhood were WWII veterans and in the 1950's were TV shows like Victory At Sea, and The Big Picture - exciting stuff for a young boy.
I belong to other WWII forums as well.

Welcome aboard Big Al. If you're a 'Nam vet and you were in the 10-16 age group when Victory at Sea aired the first time around in the early 'fifties, then we're from the same litter. That Rogers & Hammerstein score and the outstanding newsreel footage had a life-long impact on me, too.

I am 45 years old from Hamburg, Germany. I am married with three great kids. Live east of Hamburg in the Sachsenwald, nr Friedrichsruh, where Bismarck lived and is buried. Interest in WW II history as grandfather was in the Waffen-SS. Remember him telling me about it, and have never lost interest since. Feels good sharing this here.

Thanks a lot!

Hello everyone

I'm from Spain and I'm very interested in WWII since I was a child.
Now I lead some historical research projects, most of them focused in materials, weapons and vehicles of german Wehrmacht.

I'm very pleased to stay here and hope we can share interesting knowledge about our common interest in military history. :milwink:

My name is Freeborn. I am an independent researcher based in Northampton, England.

Just joined on the back of researching the Crowe Memorandum of 1907. Very impressed by level of debate.

Hello,

I'm a student and (unpublished!) novelist; I've long had an interest in the Second World War and joined in order to learn more about the Third Reich and the Axis powers in general.

Thank you. :)
