There's a British Broadarrow Proofmark just after the "Type Z5"....so whatever it came off must have been Britishmade,
but exactly what I'd have no idear.

Thanks John! That narrowed my search. Done some heavy googling now and it might have been Comet a34 - for what I remember. Too bad this was way before cellphone cameras. The tank was in quite "good shape". I remember that seat was upholstered with red-ish leather.

well.... anyway....

will post some pictures soon when I start to clean some last summer findings. :milwink:

Comet or Charioteer, Finnish Defence Forces bought both of those around 1958 - 1961. Comets were used as training vehicles for Charioteers, which were used as tank-destroyers. Finnish military stopped using Comets circa year 1970 and Charioteers around year 1979. Both of these tanks were related closely related with Charioteer being basically earlier Cromwell tank chassis equipped with large lightly armoured turret and large 20-pounder (84-mm) main gun. "Z.5" might be type of gearbox - apprently both of these tanks were equipped with Z.5 constant mesh gearbox.

rovaniemi-salla-petsamo pin. Found with some Luftwaffe spoons. Entrenching tools have also been plenty this summer.

The tin can is a german trainingdevice called a "Riechtopf", these were available with different contents ranging from "harmless"teargas to mustardgas or Sarin.

So let local EOD squad take care of that one, you don't want to open it yourself.

The recoilless case is for 10,5 cm LG 40.

Best regards,

Zünder,
