Axis use of rading kayaks (Brandenbergers?)

#1

I've seen several references to Brandenbergers and K-Verband using canoes (kayaks), possibly for raids. But I cannot find any real evidence or photos.

Does anyone know more on this topic?

I suggest the book, Hitler's Secret Commandos by Helmut Blocksdore which does mention canoes but whose primary focus is midget submarine operations. Although SS men participated in some operations, it is unclear what the Brandenbergers did.

Yes I think that's pretty typical. Plenty of K-Verband related surces mention MEK using kayaks, particularly in the Adriatic I think, but never much more than just mentioning it. No photos or solid info :?

Also, British SBS used to shout 'brandenberger' in a German accent (one can only imagine!!!) if challenged during raids in the Med. So they knew something we don't ;)
