Hans Kammler and the "special treasure"

So what was the "special treasure" that Hans Kammler provided that meant the US gave him a free pass?

Particularly since Kammler was a bureaucrat and not a specialist.
There was, of course, an obvious thread for this question to appear in - but it has recently been locked. I trust the flaming will soon be weeded out so that those who wish to contribute to it as more material arises can.

Some are unaware of the SS Technical Branch. After the 20 July 1944 plot failed to kill Hitler, he put his trust more and more into the SS for advanced weapons development. Little has been written about the secret work in Prague or Brno. Soon, SS Obergruppenführer Dr. Ing. Hans Kammler, would be made plenipotentiary for all secret weapons research. Among the special treasure offered to the Americans was the construction of multi-stage rockets which were being built in the Harz Mountains and a location near Berlin. This from a Top Secret Report dated 1 May 1946.

Source: NARA, College Park, Maryland. Record Group 38 (Chief of Naval Operations), Intelligence Division. Top Secret Reports of Naval Attaches 1944-1947, Box 9, "Germany Weapons Research."

It is said that many secret documents were burned near the end of the war, but microfilm was portable and easy to hide.

Stellung, could you be a little more precise in what you write?

You appear to be claiming you have an archival source that Hans Kammler made an offer of multi-stage rocket technology to the Americans. Would you be able to clarify.
