question abouth this attic found pouch!

Hey guys,

i have a question about this attic found and hope y'all can help me.

For what was this pouch?
I first tought it was for the pioniere wire cutter, but my friend told me it was not, he thinks its for holding some sort of aiming device for artillery.
It's an 1940 marked pouch.
Don't mind my GF's foot, it's for size indicating :)

Hopefully fast answers :)

Thanks

Similar to a rifle grenade attachment holder, but I don't think it is one.

Nice find!

Thanks :)

No it's very different from the Gewehrgranate pouch. This pouch is heavier, harder, thinner, wider, larger and has a other closing :)

Could this be a pouch for a pair of short handled wire cutters?

Could be, someone told me it could be from an artillery optic

Hi,

It is a pouch for a 'Messdreieck 34 für MG. I came across this example on a German vendor's site.

Thank you VERY much!

Now the next hard thing: to find that device here in belgium, to complete it :)
