In german use there was an improvised "sling grenade" wich was made from 2 "Stielhandgranate" 24 oder 43 connected with a piece of rope. The soldier had to throw or slung it around the main gun of enemies tanks after pulling the ignitors. This should destroy or damage the tanks gun. I' not really sure if this had worked properly and it seems very dangerous to me to go onto an enemy tank with such an improvised thing!

I really doubt that would do any damage. A similar arrangement using smoke grenades, on the other hand, was used to blind the gunner.
