WW2 German Compass? HELP
This appears to be a WW2 Finnish (Helsinki) made compass. I am told they were very commonly used by members of the German Luftwaffe. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.
Re: WW2 German Compass? HELP
Definitely type used by German forces ..... but would probably have been "private purchase", not "issued" to any particular branch. I have one that came is a WW 1 German lot.

I can confirm that Suunto-compasses we're precise enough for use of Luftwaffe. I happen to own one and I compared it's performance to a modern compass, and results are in: very accurate. It's for sure being used in military operations because it's so accurate.
