And another from me. A pair of BMK and although objectives are scratched image is good.
KF I think means they use the low viscosity grease in the focus screws. Image

Hello

Could you help me to get few detail about these German glasses :

Busch Rathenow - Dienstglas : 6X30, serial number 289207 - H/6400
There is a sort of mark : line with numbers inside the glass ...

what is the production date ? what does mean H/6400 ?

H/6400 is the scale of the ranging grid (the lines you mention on the binoculars...)
nice example of an early issue dienstglas..

Thanks Xavier for this answer.

According to the serial number, is it possible to know approximatively the issue date ?

Some friends told me it was WWII glasses.

7x50 Ernst Leitz Wetzlar

#119

Post by Schwede » 05 Mar 2010, 22:06

Not sure, about these Kriegsmarine binoculars, a pair of 7x50 Ernst Leitz Wetzlar. Lots of binos where changed post-war by adding an eagle & swastika, to make them more appealing to the unwary buyer. Pls let me know if those are the real thing?
