Hi to all!

I just wanted to phone up the former Obergefreiten, if he ever heard
the name "Brummer" in his military career.

He past away six month ago... :-(
Damn...

Hellop
Added few photos, nothing much to see. Picture taken at the site for the Brummer. On site two barracks, and something for a tower(?) and possible a small hut at the base of the tower. One of the barracks is described as "Brummer and DM baracke.(DM most likely Decimeter). At the site was also a Y-sender.

Hi stril,
Many thanks for sharing. It is the first time ever I have seen the Foundation for a Brummer. Do you also have a sketch?
DM was an expression sometimes used for a RV station.

Hi,
Just found another Brummer location. Legend 30.
It could be Jägerleitstellung JOHANISBEERE.

Indeed Jos, if we could only find the rest of it. My guess is that it is dated early 1945, it would be a gold-mine.

Hi,
Looking for something different I came across this on my HD, which proves that a BRUMMER somewhere was installed in a bunker. Question is where.

Is there a drawing of "Regelbau L 492 - Unterstand für Bodenfunkstelle Brummer"? I have a possible candidate in Norway.
Looking for the following, original or copy, any language:

Renault FT-17 - Manual and parts list
Somua MCG5 - Manual
Panzer III or StuG III - Manual and parts list
8,8 cm Flak 36 - Parts list and electrical diagram
150 cm Scheinwerfer G150K - Manual

Hi
It's a bunker close to Forus airport by Stavanger. Unfortunately demolished. :(

Hi to all!
SES wrote:In Denmark we had a radio bunker we cannot explain at Ejer Bavnehøj, the highest hill in the country.
We just have a post war drawing of the bunker no written German documentation. This is a logic Brummer candidate.
But no proof.
At his RV-map of april/may-1945, Hoffmann mentioned a relay-RV-post at Ejer. I think the bunker was this RV-post, because the hill is perfect. Why not a BRUMMER as well?

If "my windmill" was a BRUMMER, here's some concrete...

Not much concrete at the site. Been two huts/barracks there, also some foundations for poles/masts.
As far as I know, there was the Funksendezentrale 144 as well!?

I think you are talking about No 36. It is not JOHANNISBEERE, because JOHANNISBEERE was 10 km northwest of the airfield of Wittmundhafen (in the upper left corner of the map).

Because sometimes a Funksendezentrale (FuSZ) and a RV-Station were related to each other, we should think about a BRUMMER at some of these places as well...
At the time, when the map was drawn, at Westerstede was the FuSZ 320 (35), the Brummer-post (36) and a Dreh-Funkfeuer "Hermine" (37). They were all transmitting, but not receiving! Why not put it together at one post? The Luftwaffe did that for
a FuSZ and a Drehfunkfeuer "Hermes" at FuSZ 308, Kisdorf. Sorry, no information about a BRUMMER.

What do you think? Sorry, but I can't proof it...

Best wishes
Rolf

Hi Rolf,
It makes great sense to colocate a FuSZ and a Brummer.
Thanks for the concrete.

Here's a picture from 1958 of the antennas at the possible Brummer by Stavanger, Norway. The antennas could have been replaced after the war, but it's the only picture I have.

And here is the drawing of the bunker under the ground, I wonder if this could be the regelbau L 492:

Hi Asbjørn,
Thanks a million for sharing. It certainly looks like a Regelbau, but very complex for just supporting a radio transmitter. Are you willing to share the location and where are the masts in relation to the bunker?
