Photographs about Germany army 1945
Hi,
I'm searching for photographs about the German army in March/April 1945. I can find many photos about the Allies in Germany but not much from the German side. I would love to see for example some photos about the Battle of the Seelow Heights (from the German side ofcourse).
The only thing I could find was this German Propaganda which has been made (I guess) late Februari/March.

There are few German photos from the 1945 period except for the limited newsreels and a few exceptions.... Germans weren't thinking too much about photos when locked in mortal combat and facing total defeat & retribution.... so you won't find much except from the "victor's side" of course.

True. The Germans had always many warphotographers on the frontlines, to capture their victories etc. I guess their was no point of taking pictures late in the war because (for example) the photos could not be published in the German war magazines.
The only interesting photos I could find are from Februari 1945.

To my knowledge, the first photo is from 25.04.1945 and shows sniper teams of the Fallschirm-Panzerdivision HG in Bautzen. The second photo is from 20.04.1945 and shows Infantry & Panthers of the same division near Kodersdorf, app. 10km north of Görlitz.

No one in the HG Division wore Paratrooper uniforms and many of those men are wearing Para kit in one form or another so they are very unlikely to have been members of HG.

I disagree. In the late stages of the war uniform doesn't prove anything. Especially not what kind of uniform 'should' have been worn or had been worn in the years before.
On the other hand, Kubschütz is a very tiny village in the direct vicinity of Bautzen, where one of the last battles of the war took place. At Kodersdorf, the HG Div engaged the 1st Polish Armoured Div. No Fallschirmjäger units were present at any of these engagements.

That would be 1st Polish PzCorps perhaps, as 1st Polish Armoured Div was in Holland at that time?the HG Div engaged the 1st Polish Armoured Div
