I wonder that german soldiers in 1942 could make their Reiterabzeichen. This one is from my grandpa. Do you have more info about that? Thanks in advance.

Nice Award Booklet.....I'd guess that "anyone" who was an equestrian (horsemen) could (when possible) compete in Equestrian events to continue thier qualification for this award. I notice it's for the 2nd Class (Silver) grade, so he already had the bronze grade when he received this one. It's an award prized and worn thru out the 3rd Reich period. If I read the German correctly was he in the Luftwaffe?
(Luf. F-- (Flak?) Rgt. 58). Unusual award for LW Feldwebel........., and is that "R---gst--d (Denmark)" ? ...... If that's what it says....
First Award book for one of these I've seen. Nice.

Hello John
Thank you for your answer. My grandpa was a member of 29.ID, 107. Regiment and 13. Kompanie. His unit still used covered artillery (bespannte Artillerie). I think that he was proofed by this Luftwaffenunit in Denmark. In 1938 he also made a Fahrerabzeichen in hanover as you can see on my picture.
Best regards Wehrmann
