Third Reich signatures.
Re: Third Reich signatures.
German resistance figure Ulrich von Hassell, ex-ambassador to Rome, executed at Ploetzensee Sept. 8, 1944. A notation in a book from von Hassell's personal library.

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone can recognize this signature? It came alongside a Otto Gille in a 1966 issue of "Der Freiwillige".Thanks in advance.

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Hello, signature looks like P. Hisse. Have no idea what that could be.

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Would anybody like to have a crack at identifying these signatures which belong to foreign diplomats who were offering their condolences on Hitler's death . They were then staying at Bad Gastein and these signatures were given on the 3rd May,
The first three are the Japanese diplomats Oshima, Komatsu and Kojima.
Thanks
Ian

Third Reich signatures
Hi - I placed this in the regular forum, and nobody answered. Maybe I will have better luck in here. Do you have any idea who the 2 signatures, other than Speer's (circled) are? I believe this was clipped from some sort of a Hotel register. I had a Himmler signature that was on exactly the same type of paper.

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Don't know who the other two are but that doesn't look like Albert Speer's signature to me.

Who signed with Speer?
It is most certainly Speer's WAR TIME signature. NOBODY writes their signature exactly the same every time. I have attached 2 (of many I have) post-war signatures of Speer. But Speer is not the question, but rather who are the other 2?Ian Sayer wrote:Don't know who the other two are but that doesn't look like Albert Speer's signature to me.

Third Reich signatures
I was thumbing through an Arbeitsbuch, when I notice this signature at the bottom of the SS related firm. Then I remembered seeing it before. Wouldn't you agree these signatures are from the same man? The German who sold me the 3 signatures on 1 slip mentioned they were from Munich, and so was this firm. Obviously the man has something to do with either the SS, or the RAD. Does it ring any bells with anyone? Himmler was there, too, at the Hotel as I previously mentioned.einwehrmann2 wrote:Hi - I placed this in the regular forum, and nobody answered. Maybe I will have better luck in here. I'm not sure it's the same signature....though obviously similiar.....amazing how a rubber stamp mark can change a otherwise boring "Arbeitsbuch" into something quite special....and in this case it's legit. Very nice. Sorry, no idear on the signature....

Re: Who signed with Speer?
I think Ian is right and is trying to be diplomatic. That appears to be a poor attempt at copying Speer's signature and the other two look suspect also. Ian Sayer is an expert on signatures and is aware of the impossibility of identical signing of signatures. Your examples bear the hallmarks of being drawn, rather than signed with a flourish as in the case of authentic signatures. Your post-war examples look fine.einwehrmann2 wrote:It is most certainly Speer's WAR TIME signature. NOBODY writes their signature exactly the same every time. Here is a wartime Speer, albeit a facsimile.

Thanks Max. I quite agree. The two post war examples look fine to me too.
