Here are pics from Polish TV series from late 1960s named "More Than Life at Stake" ( Stawka wieksza niz zycie, 1968 ). The series are about Polish spy in German uniform operate in Abwehr and brilliantly claims Gestapo and SD officials. Very Good series. Many years ago there was a comic about a Polish man in Abwehr, kalled "Captain Koss". Is that same man?

Yes, but his name was "Kloss".

Bjørn, was the comic really called "Captain Koss" in Norway? We had the same comics in Finland in the seventies and the captain was definitely called "Kloss", like the Polish original. I, too, still have some of those.

"Kaksoisolento", that's right! I tried to remember what the TV series was called, but failed. Thank you, Juha, for this. You probably remember also the Soviet series that was also mentioned earlier in this thread; in Finland it was called "Kevään seitsemäntoista hetkeä". Seen through a youngster's eyes these both series were great stuff; wonder how they would look like if we could see them today... Somehow I'm afraid they would not have aged well and it might be a disappointment...

Well, "Kevään jne" might have been a little slow, that's true. But still, I remember being glued to the television when the series was shown. Of course, we only had two TV channels in the seventies, so there was not so much to choose from and it something like these series was always an event.

Anyway, "Kaksoisolento" and "Panssaripartio" can be bought on DVD with English subtitles. I am tempted...

I can recommend "Kaksoisolento", but "Panssaripartio" deteriorated after the first
dozen or episodes. I bought mine from ATJ-video.

Yle Teema is airing the "Stirlitz story" and I watched the first episode yesterday. And yes, it is a bit slow:-) Still, I probably will watch all the 12 episodes...

"Hauptmann Kloss" wasn't Polish agent in German uniform but Soviet spy (probably GRU spy - we can see Soviet intelligence officer in first and last episode of series). This movie character based on the person of Arthur Ritter-Jastrzebski, ps. Andrzej (Andrew), Bogdan, Stefan, (Wilhelm) Tell (born 12 May 1906 in Orel, d. 7 May 1981 in Warsaw) - General of brigade (general major) of the Polish People's Republic Army, prewar Polish Communist Party activist. GRU agent during World War II. officer of intelligence Polish People's Republic (Ministry of Public Security, Military Intelligence, the Department II of General Staff, Chief of the Provincial Public Security Office in Gdansk, deputy chief of Department II of General Staff), PRL military attaché in Rome from 1964 to 1968.
