Cornelius Ryan's trilogy "The Longest Day" "A bridge Too Far" "The Last Battle"
The first two have been adopted into movies

According to a 1967 MGM Promo-"Lionpower from MGM" listed "The LAst Battle" among movies upcoming releases.
WAS IT EVER MADE?

At least one of the films in the latter group never made it to the theater screen ( "The Last Battle").
Maybe, because several Russian productions have treated the subject.
