Discussions on all aspects of Imperial Germany not covered in the other sections.
Longtime forum member Walter W. Sapp, aka "Walterkaschner" (1930 - 2006) contributed greatly to this particular section during his four-year AHF membership; it has therefore been renamed in his honor.
I wonder whether anyone here around can explain how the title "Oberstraßenmeister" ranks? How high a position is it?
The reason for my question is the Generaloberst Lindemann in 1944 married the daugther of a "Oberstraßenmeister a.D.", and I would like to know if that could be considered an appropriate marriage by imperial standards.
