I recently found a very small photo of my third great uncle in my grandma's family house. His name was Aleksandar Aničin and he was a Serb from the village of Parage, also in Bacs-Bodrog county. However, he is referred to in the photo as "Anicsan Sandor", which is a magyarized version of his name. The photo looks like it was cut off from a book and on the other side there is a photo of another person, also from one of the villages of Bacs-Bodrog country. Are there any books listing all Hungarian WWI veterans with photos? I know for a fact that he was a WWI veteran and that he lost an arm and a leg fighting for Austria-Hungary on the Eastern front, but I would like to know more.
Also, I stumbled upon a picture of Johann Link. He was a K.u.K. soldier from the town of Palanka, Bacs-Bodrog County in Austria Hungary. If anyone can tell me something about his rank in the army or the medals on his uniform, it would be greatly appreciated.
