Two different places of death for Maximilian von Hoen can be found: Scheifling and Vienna. Which is the correct one?

Hello Grisu,

I've found the following reports of Hoen's death in
Wiener Neueste Nachrichten
Sep 7th, 1940, p.4
http://anno.onb.ac.at/cgi-content/anno? ... =4&zoom=33
and
Neuigkeits-Welt-Blatt
Sep 8th, 1940, p.4
http://anno.onb.ac.at/cgi-content/anno? ... =4&zoom=33
According to both of them he died in Scheifling.

Hoen remained a citizen of Vienna after his retirement, the Vienna address books list him till 1941.
See for example http://www.digital.wienbibliothek.at/pe ... oom/254811
It seems the fact he lived in Vienna and was bured there led to the misconception that this also was his place of death.

Best regards
Torsten
