Oberst Michael (von) Mitterwallner

Hello,

could someone post a short career synopsis of Austrian Oberst Michael Mitterwallner from the various Schematismus editions?

GoogleBooks shows me he was a cadet in 1867 and a Major in Troppau about 1900. Later (1910) he lived in Salzburg and was a Colonel (retired). In 1917 he was nobilitated as Michael, Edler von Mitterwallner.

The time frame 1890 - 1905 of Mitterwallner's career would be especially interesting for me. Perhaps someone also can tell me if there's a connection between Mitterwallner and the town of Pettau (Ptuj) in Slovenia?

I'm currently trying to piece together a CV for his daughter Margarete Mitterwallner. She later became Gaufrauenschaftsleiterin in Carinthia. But most things in her youth, even the year of birth, are still in the dark. I just know she was born in Troppau and went to a school of music in Salzburg in 1913/14 for a year.

Many thanks in advance
Torsten
