Hi Uwe,

About your images of post 359, I think it is a 28cm Krupp L14 howitzer.
I had seen very few images of this howitzer. Thanks for sharing !!

Your last image: 15cm Feldkanone i.R.

Not an exact match but there are similarities to the 95mm Lanz and 87mm Mauser minenwerfers. The AWM has examples of both of these captured in Palestine in 1918. I've added the AWM images of these mortars.

Regards,

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

The mine thrower of my image is similar to the Mauser model, but it is not exactly the same.

On the other hand, here another image from EBay. I think an 7.62cm Sockelflak L30 gun (ex-Russian M1902 field gun adapted by Krupp to a AA gun) but I never had seen a 4-wheel carriage for this gun...

I agree with 28cm (283mm) L/14 Howitzer.
It must be a rare photo, only ONE howitzer was built!!!
It was used by the "Schwere-Küstenmörser-Batterie 8"

This is also the 28cm L/14 howitzer. It is a nice photo with the crew. Note the speckle camouflage on only part of the gun's shield.

Of the two 28cm howitzers, it seems to me that photos of the L/12 howitzer are rarer.

Marc
