I need help for Id. heavy gun
Re: I need help for Id. heavy gun
Hi ROLAND1369,
I think the mortar of my images is not the same as that which appears on page 76 of the Herbert Jaeger book.
There are not much information about the different models of German mine throwers in the net.
Here, another image from EBay.
I think, in the foreground, to the right, two 24cm Albrecht Minenwerfer, but I can not identify the other two. To the left, a similar mortar to my last two images posted here and in the background, a mortar similar to the 25cm sMW mortar but with a much longer barrel. Any idea ???

Re: I need help for Id. heavy gun
Hello,
To the right, they are two Albrecht Minenwerfers but of two different calibers:
-the more common 24 cm "schwere Flügelminenwerfer Albrecht" (s.Fl.M.W.Albrecht).
-the very rare 35 cm Albrecht, one of this model was captured by french Army on the Somme.
In a captured document taken in the Somme, it is writed that they are two "big" models of Albrecht: a 35 cm and also a 45 cm.
Yours sincerely,
Guy François.

Thank you very much for your help, ALVF.
Do you have any idea about the other two mortars of my last image ??
Any idea about the mortars of my images posted here on 04 and 09 Sep ?
Are there any good book about the different models of mine throwers used by the Germans during World War I ?
Regards Sturm78

Nobody for my last question about the mortars?
Well, here another image from EBay. I think captured 75mm Mle 1897 french guns used by Germans as AA guns but without any modification.
Were these guns also rebored to 77mm caliber as those modified with a new carriage? See my image posted here on 07 Sep 2014

Re: I need help for Id. heavy gun
I would say that this is Battery Tirpiz in WW I Belgium. 4-280 MM guns.

I agree with you: 30,5 cm guns from Batterie Kaiser Wilhelm II.
Here is a picture from French National Archives of one of the 30,5 cm on November 12, 1918. The shield is identical to the shield on the 1st picture posted above by Sturm 78.

Re: I need help for Id. heavy gun
The caption says the guns were captured from the Russians at Dunaberg (now in Latvia on the Dvina River). Further the caption says the guns were Japanese supplied to the Russians. I think the guns are 28cm Krupp guns from the 1870s. The Russians built these guns under licence at the Perm Ironworks in the 1870s. The attached image is a surviving Krupp-built 28cm gun in Finland - the gun in the background of the image is another 28cm - this one built in Russia.
Whether the caption is accurate in that the gun was originally Japanese is a matter of debate.
Regards,
Charlie

Thank you, Charlie..
On the other hand, Can somebody identify these two AA guns?
They are very similar but there are some differences between them
