Hello Sturm78 ,
Here is a small correction :

15 cm S.K.L/45 in Küsten M.P-L. C/1914

Notice that Spain used 3 x 15 cm S.K.L /45 in M.P.L. C/1916 in
battery Las Tinosas in Tenerife .

Sturm78,

Yes, this is a 21 cm SKL/45 "Peter Adalbert" "in Eisenbahn und Bettungsgeruest (E.u.B.)".
(see picture in "Eisenbahnartillerie" by Guy Français)

The picture you've posted shows the gun captured by the AEF in November 1918 and appears in the book " Railway Artillery: A Report on the Characteristics, Scope of Utility, Etc., of Railway Artillery, Volume I, page 479 by Harry W Miller, United States Army Ordnance Department. Washington, Government Print Office, 1921."

I'm not certain but could it be a Russian 229mm M92 howitzer?

Thanks for your answer, Charlie. I never have seen any image of this howitzer so....

On the other hand, I found these two images on Ebay. I think an 38cm SK L45 german gun but the carriage seems different in each of the images......Any idea ??

Anschiessgerüst, Bettungsschiessgerüst 45º, Bettungsschiessgerüst 55º,....??? :?

It is difficult to say whether that is a 9.2 or 12 in siege howitzer. The 12in MK II was an up-scaled version of the 9.2in MK I siege howitzer and virtually identical in appearance. With no other information, that leaves us to deduce the the identity of the howitzer by size - if there was a soldier in the photo, it would help immensely.

Marc

As MLW has said, without something like a soldier nearby to gauge scale it is difficult to be 100% certain, but the trees are close, so height and bredth of the trunk are an indication, as are the sadbags, so I would say its a 9.2" howitzer, or those are some seriously huge sandbags.
